Chromebook cart and equipment reservations without the sign-out sheet.
A paper sign-out sheet or shared Google Sheet works until two teachers both count on the same cart for third period. Wise Old Owl Reservations lets staff reserve laptop carts, projectors, and computer labs, and keeps the request and any approval in one place.

A sign-out sheet doesn't know how many carts you have.
Schools track shared equipment on a clipboard in the front office, a Google Sheet, or a calendar someone set up years ago. Each one works only if everyone writes things down and reads what others wrote. Side deals between teachers never reach the sheet, and the cart is gone when someone comes to get it.
With Reservations, your school lists each kind of equipment and how many it has. Staff ask for what they need, for a time and a room, and they can't ask for more than the school owns.
From sign-out sheet to reservation
Set it up once, and staff book carts the same way every time.
List what you share
Add carts, projectors, labs, and other shared equipment, with how many of each your school has.
Choose who approves
Send carts to your tech coordinator, or let them confirm right away when nobody needs to review.
Staff reserve for a class
Teachers pick the equipment, how many, the time, and the room it's going to.
Everyone knows where it is
Email notifications and the request's conversation show who has what, and when.
Put your cart rules where staff will read them.
Every school has rules for shared carts: how long a teacher can keep one, where it goes back, who plugs it in. Reservations shows each school's guide when staff make a request, so the rules are in front of them at the moment they book.
Approvals are up to you. Some schools confirm cart bookings right away and only review computer lab requests. Others send everything to the tech coordinator.

Common questions about equipment reservations for schools
Is this for students checking out Chromebooks?
No. Reservations is for teachers and staff reserving shared equipment for class or events. It isn't a system for lending devices to students.
Can we track more than Chromebook carts?
Yes. Add any shared equipment your school wants to track, like iPad carts, projectors, TVs, and document cameras. Computer labs and libraries can be booked as rooms.
Can staff reserve equipment without booking a room?
Yes. Staff can borrow equipment for any room, like their own classroom, without reserving a space.
How much does Reservations cost?
$25 per school per month, or $260 per school per year. The first 30 days are free for your whole district, with no credit card needed. Districts with 5 or more schools can ask about volume pricing.
